IF THE BABY'S PARENTS ARE MARRIED AT THE TIME OF BIRTH DO YOU STILL NEED TO FILE FOR AN ADOPTION?
If you are married at the time of the birth of the child, then both parents are the "legal" parents of the child. However, in the event you go to a jurisdiction where same sex marriage is not recognized then the non-biological parent may not have rights to make medical decisions for the child, or the right to visitation or custody of the child if the relationship ends.
